About Erskine College

Erskine College is a four-year Christian college affiliated with the Associate Reformed Presbyterian (ARP) Church. Since our founding in 1839, generations of students have found a second home here at Erskine. This is more than just a college—it’s a community where students grow in knowledge, faith, and maturity.

Biblical Worldview, Educational Excellence

Through Erskine’s liberal arts curriculum, students receive a high-quality education from a biblical worldview. Capitalizing on our small class sizes and close-knit community, Erskine follows a personalized approach to academics and extracurricular activities. We don’t believe in settling for a one-size-fits-all college experience. We equip our students to grow and reach their goals.

Authentically Christian

Our faith is at the heart of all we do. Our desire is to help students know Christ and grow in their faith. Erskine’s vibrant campus ministries, student-led Bible studies, weekly Fleet Fellowship service, and biblically based curriculum are all designed to point students to Jesus Christ.

We exist to equip students for lives of service and leadership, building Christ’s Church and influencing society for God’s glory.

Close Community

For generations, Erskine social life has centered around nurturing strong lifelong friendships. Our small student population and rural setting encourage close community, creativity, leadership, and a sense of belonging. Our students form friendships at Erskine that last for decades.

Beautiful Setting

Erskine College is located in Due West, a town of 1,200 residents in Abbeville County, South Carolina. The town and the college, with a number of antebellum buildings, are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Due West is located near lakes and recreational areas with easy access to the cities of Greenville, Anderson, Greenwood, and Abbeville.
