SCICU News & Notes are a series of online newsletters that include updated information about our 20 member colleges and universities. Our News & Notes also include up-to-date articles about certain legislation that may affect funding for our member institutions.
This free guide is published annually to assist students and their parents in selecting the college or university that meets each student’s unique combination of intellectual, personal, and financial needs.
It contains detailed information regarding each of the 20 private colleges and universities in South Carolina, including profiles, facts, scholarships, financial aid, school visitation dates, and more!
Relevant matters include general and special appropriations for student grants and scholarships, legislation related to higher education, postsecondary students, and non-profit organizations, and education-related public policy issues before agencies, boards, and commissions.

The digital version of the 2016-2017 SCICU Annual Report is now available on the SCICU website.
In addition to recognizing the many donors, friends, and partners who have given so generously to SCICU for scholarships and programs, the annual report states the organization’s audited financial condition for the September 1, 2016 to August 31, 2017 fiscal year, salutes the SCICU McLean-Smith Student of the Year and the Excellence in Teaching award winners, and celebrates SCICU’s accomplishments during its 64th year of promoting independent higher education.
